Kooks reveal Scouting For Girls snub

The Kooks have claimed that they turned away Scouting For Girls when the group asked to be their support band.

Singer Luke Pritchard apparently snubbed the pop-rock band's offer because he does not rate their lyrics.

"They asked to come on tour with us, but I dunno. They’re probably nice guys but I'm just not sure," he told the Daily Star.

The frontman joked: "When I think of Scouting For Girls, I think: 'Wow, classic songwriting, one for the history books.'

"'She's so lovely, she's so lovely'. I mean, it's poetic isn't it?"

Pritchard's group tour the UK in November and December, rounding off with three dates at the Camden Roundhouse. They are supported by Mystery Jets and Kid Harpoon.
