The pop singer, who co-wrote Leona Lewis's smash-hit single 'Bleeding Love', invited Bedingfield to join him in the studio when they met at a gig recently.
"I recently had a radio gig with Natasha Bedingfield, and we were backstage, and we were talking, and we swapped numbers," Jesse explained. "I was like, 'Let's get together and write something. Let's do something. Let's go to the studio and jam.'
"She was down. I would love to do something with her. She's an amazing vocalist."
McCartney is about to start touring the US with American Idol winner Jordin Sparks.
