Morrissey has pushed back the release of his new album Years Of Refusal, reports Billboard.

The LP, the ex-Smiths frontman's tenth solo offering, was originally due to hit stores next month. However, the singer's publicist has confirmed that it will now debut in early 2009.

The 12-track album was steered by prolific US record producer Jerry Finn. Finn suffered a brain hemorrhage last month and remains unconscious on a life support machine in a Los Angeles hospital.

Years Of Refusal will be Morrissey's first record since 2006's Ringleader Of The Tormentors.
