Annie Lennox to release first hits album

Annie Lennox is to release the first ever retrospective of her solo career next month.

The Annie Lennox Collection will contain tracks from each of the singer's four solo albums, together with two new songs.

One of the new songs, 'Pattern Of My Life', was written for Lennox by Keane star Tom Chaplin, while the other is a cover of 'Shining Light' by British indie band Ash.

"It seems like the time has come to release the Collection this year," Lennox said. "The songs are timeless and have become 'classics' in their own right."

The Annie Lennox Collection, whose artwork was shot by rock singer Bryan Adams, will be released on September 15.
