Ian Brown: 'No chance of Roses reunion'

Ian Brown has insisted that he will never be involved in a Stone Roses reunion.

The frontman told The Guardian: "No chance... not in the next three lifetimes", when asked whether he may ever reform the indie band.

Stone Roses bassist Mani claimed last month that everyone in the group would be happy to perform again, with the exception of Brown.

The Manchester four-piece released two albums during their 12-year career, which included hits 'Waterfall', 'I Wanna Be Adored' and 'Love Spreads'.

Brown, who was speaking at a screening of a new Sex Pistols movie, described the '70s punk group as the "best band that's ever been".

"I think [the Sex Pistols] have got the best set of songs any band has had, any time," said the singer. "They showed us as kids... that you didn't have to be some middle-class virtuoso musician.

"It was all about expressing yourself and it didn't matter where you came from - you could get into music and that's what [Johnny Rotten] showed us."
