The track, which is the singer's first release since July 2007, was co-written by James and Paul Barry.
Grammy award-winner Mark Taylor produced the song.
It is the first tune to be released from Morrison's forthcoming Songs For You, Truths For Me LP, which is released on September 29.
The singer cancelled his summer live plans earlier this year to focus on finishing the record.
Morrison's debut album Undiscovered, which featured the singles 'You Give Me Something' and 'Wonderful World', was released in 2006.
