It was reported yesterday that the Wigan group had cancelled their performance because guitarist Nick McCabe had allegedly been sectioned after a gig in Japan.
However, according to the band, McCabe has only injured his finger and they will still be headlining the summer bash.
"Contrary to rumours circulating, Nick McCabe cut his finger on a piece of glass in the dressing room after the gig in Japan," a representative told NME.
"He was treated by medics at the scene and then flew home. He's fine except for a sore finger and that won't effect their appearance at V at the weekend."
Other acts performing at V include Amy Winehouse, Muse, Stereophonics, Kings of Leon and Kaiser Chiefs.
