The Scottish singer-songwriter said that she was thrilled to see the US rock band perform live at the Lowlands festival in Holland recently.
Writing on her MySpace page, MacDonald explained: "The Killers were amazing. My dream in life would be to do something with them. They are one of my favourite bands. I felt so inspired watching them."
The star also confessed that she is less impressed with other artists in the charts, claiming that there are too many copycat acts around at the moment.
"I haven't been to many gigs recently. I don't have time, and when I do I get agitated because I want to be on stage. A lot of it doesn't catch my imagination," she said. "I hate the way one artist is successful then clones follow. Very few will still be around in 20 years."
