Metallica confirm £5 O2 Arena concert

Metal veterans Metallica have confirmed that they will play a gig at London's O2 with tickets priced at £5.

The September 15 show coincides with the release of their new studio album Death Magnetic.

It will be preceded by a concert at O2 World in Berlin, where tickets cost 10€.

"Because this is a celebration, tickets prices will be, shall we say, 'retro'," said the band in a statement.

"Only ten Euros for Berlin, five pounds in London! And the best part is that all the proceeds from the sale of tickets will be donated to local charities."

Metallica headline this weekend's Reading and Leeds Festivals.
