The Fratellis have expressed their distaste for the "awful" music of Razorlight and The Kooks.
Writing in the Daily Star, the band said they were not comfortable criticising fellow artists, but singled out Johnny Borrell and Luke Pritchard's groups as exceptions.
"Johnny Borrell is a c*ck," said the Scottish rockers. "And we hate the Kooks as well - their music is f***ing awful."
Explaining their dislike for Borrell, the band said they found his hit single 'America' laughably bad.
"We were driving around London and it came on the radio. We all burst out laughing at precisely the same time," they commented.
"One of the lyrics in particular made us laugh: 'Well I go out somewhere, then I come home again.' That line is so funny.
"There are some artists that exist purely for people to pour scorn on them."
