The group's original lineup of Farrell, Eric Avery, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins staged a one-off reunion in April while collecting a lifetime achievement gong at the NME Awards in LA.
However, Farrell dismissed reports that a more long-term arrangement is in the pipeline, saying: "There's as much likelihood of that happening as there being commercial space flights."
Talking about the NME show, he said: "It was both fun and horrible. It’s like having a girlfriend that you have always been in love with and you’ll always be in love with but you don’t quite get along with.
"You're still in love with her and every time you get together, you end up throwing food at each other."
