Ne-Yo has insisted that he wasn't upset when Britney Spears chose not to use tracks he had penned for her Blackout album.

The R&B singer prepared a total of six songs for the 2007 disc, but he then struggled to get in touch with Spears's team and the tracks did not make it on to the record as a result.

"I never met Britney Spears, I can't have animosity with someone I don't know. You have way bigger fish to fry, little mama, than me about a couple songs," Ne-Yo told MSNBC.com.

"I tried to call her, call her people. They didn't want to return a phone call, so I said all right, well, I guess I will take these songs that were written for Britney and give them to other people. Time is money."

The star has recently been working on Whitney Houston's comeback album. He has claimed that she is still trying to "find her place" in today's music industry.
