Oasis have warned new member Chris Sharrock that they are trying to "break Spinal Tap's record" for the number of drummers they use.

Noel Gallagher joked about the band's quick turnover of percussionists during their comeback gig in Seattle on Tuesday.

Sharrock is the Manchester band's fourth full-time drummer, following on from Tony McCarroll, Alan White and Zac Starkey.

Steve White and Terence Kirkbride have also temporarily played with the band.

The Seattle concert featured an acoustic set from Noel, tracks from the band's forthcoming Dig Out Your Soul album and hits including 'Slide Away' and 'The Masterplan'.

Oasis start an 18-date UK arena tour at Liverpool Echo Arena on October 7.
