The troubled singer had been expected to perform a headline slot at the Rock En Seine music festival, but she remained at her home in London after falling ill.
Her spokesman said: "Amy Winehouse was regrettably unable to perform at the Rock En Seine show in Paris tonight, Friday August 29, due to illness. She was taken ill at her house and wasn't able to travel to France for the concert."
The publicist added that Winehouse did not require hospital treatment. She is expected to go ahead with her appearance at the Bestival festival on the Isle of Wight next weekend.
Winehouse, who has been diagnosed with emphysema, has already vowed to take a long break from performing after next month.
The Rock En Seine festival, which lasts for three days, features performances from the Raconteurs, The Streets and Kate Nash this year.
