Band member Kimberly Wyatt said the group has "messed around with a lot of different genres" on new album Doll Domination, to be released later this month.
"There are songs [on the album] that show the more vulnerable side of the Pussycat Dolls," she told DS.
"The sound is something different than we've really done before, it's a little more Coldplay-ish. It's kinda got an indie-rock vibe."
Wyatt also revealed that each band member has recorded a solo track for the album, saying: "There's going to be a special edition where each of us gets a chance to do our own song."
