Coldplay, Oasis battle for Q Awards

The two acts will compete with Kings Of Leon, Muse and Metallica for the prestigious Best Act In The World Today gong.
Coldplay also bagged nominations for Best Album, Best Video and Best Track for their comeback single 'Violet Hill'.
Other acts up for awards include Glasvegas, The Ting Tings, Fleet Foxes, Katy Perry and Alex Turner's side project The Last Shadow Puppets.
The ceremony takes place at Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane on October 6. The nominations in full:
