The singer performed tracks from Do You Know, her debut country music LP, at Nashville's Shermerhorn Symphony Centre on Thursday.
Addressing the crowd of 200 record industry executives, Simpson said: "Thank you so much for coming and for giving me a chance. I hope you get to experience what my heart's been going through the last few years. I'm a little nervous. If I throw up, I'm sorry."
After completing the gig successfully, the star exclaimed: "I didn't throw up!"
Do You Know is released on Monday in the US. Simpson revealed earlier this week that the album may not have gone ahead as she considered quitting her music career in 2006.
