Barlow and his bandmates Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Mark Owen completed recording the new LP on Thursday. It is expected to be released in time for the Christmas market.
The star has told record label chiefs that it is his favourite album so far and he is particularly pleased with one self-penned track, which has a working title of 'This Wonderful World'.
"They are all really proud of this album and can't wait to get it out there," an insider told The Sun. "The last album did so well and they are confident this will do even better. For Gary to say one of the tracks is his best yet is pretty exciting."
A recent poll named Take That as Britain's favourite boyband. They finished ahead of The Beatles and the Jackson Five.
