Toronto police confirmed that 47-year-old Daniel Sullivan has been charged in connection with the stage invasion.
He is alleged to have shoved the Oasis guitarist to the ground before being pulled away by the band’s security.
The incident took place during a performance of 'Morning Glory' at Toronto's V Festival.
Oasis immediately left the stage but returned to finish their set a few minutes later. A statement on the band's website says Gallagher was taken to hospital after the show with a suspected fractured rib and ligament damage.
