Noel Gallagher has written about being pushed to the ground during Oasis's set at Toronto's V Festival.

The guitarist made fun of the incident on his blog, saying: "Someone, who can only be described as a 'Canadian', was able to get on stage, somehow managed to evade our crack security team (Trotters Independent Security Service) and assaulted my midriff.

"Can't say much more than that as the 'perpetrator's' gonna get the book thrown at him. Repeatedly. It was all going so well up until that point'n'all."

Oasis were forced to cancel a show in Ontario to allow Gallagher to recover from his injuries.

"[I] feel like I've had a sparring session with Ricky Hatton," he continued. "Still, we'll probably get an extra couple of days in NYC. Every cloud, eh?"

Gallagher's attacker Daniel Sullivan reportedly hid under the stage to avoid detection from the festival's security team.
