The track has topped the charts in both the UK and US, and Perry has claimed that she may withdraw it from her live set completely.
She told the Daily Star: "The song follows me around wherever I am in the world, it's all people wanna hear. But I can't get too sick of it as it's paying for my grandchildren's college tuition. Maybe in three years I'll retire it or something."
Perry added that she once heard the track playing while she was buying groceries, saying: "It's funny in certain situations - like when you walk into the grocery store and they're playing it and then I get in my car and it's on the radio. I'm like: 'Please. I get it.'"
