Kylie in line for huge cash boost

Pop icon Kylie Minogue is to receive a massive payout for two concerts in Dubai later this year.

Local newspapers in the UAE claim one appearance alone will provide Minogue with £2.2million.

A representative of the Middle East AEG Live production company said the singer will earn "an awful lot of money" for the dates this November.

Minogue will perform at a private party for 2,000 guests to celebrate the opening of a new luxury hotel on Dubai's Palm island.

The following day, she will star at a concert on the grounds of a sprawling shopping mall for up to 20,000 fans.
