Disco group The Village People have gathered in Hollywood for the unveiling of their star on the Walk of Fame.

While the band did not perform, they wore their trademark costumes as they received the 2,369th star.

Fans who watched the event danced along to recordings of the group's hits 'YMCA' and 'Macho Man'.

Ray Simpson, Jeff Olson, David Hodo, Eric Anzalone and original members Alexander Briley and Felipe Rose were given the award. Victor Willis, who played the policeman and left the group in 1979, was also present.
