McClure had been angered by the music press's criticism of him for asking fans to put up peace signs at Glastonbury. He then vowed to walk out on the business after the release of the group's second album A French Kiss In The Chaos.
He told the BBC last month: "I'm going to retire from the music industry in January because I'm disgusted by it. I don't want nothing to do with it no more."
However, McClure has since retracted his comments, telling Newsbeat: "I got a bit mental when I got down in the dumps and said I was going to quit but I won't, I'll carry on.
"There's some people I need to put straight on a few things first. I will be back, don't worry about that, I'm bullet-proof."
