Noel Gallagher has said that he wants to follow the release of Oasis's Dig Out Your Soul album with a solo record.

However, the guitarist acknowledged to Blender that he would only work on a solo LP if his bandmates did the same.

"I'd like for us to do separate projects after this record," he said. "We'd all have to agree on it, so it will probably never happen. I've got loads of new songs. Somewhat predictably, they're all brilliant."

Gallagher previously went solo for a collaboration with The Chemical Brothers on the single 'Let Forever Be', which reached number nine in the UK singles chart in 1999.
