Speaking at the Virgin Mobile Live Music Awards, the 'Leave Right Now' star said: "It's all about the music for me at the moment."
However, Young, who previously made an appearance in Mrs Henderson Presents, has not ruled out attempting to juggle both an acting and singing career at some point in the future.
"I don't see why you can't do two things as long as they're good enough, I guess," he said.
Young also revealed his favourite acts of the moment, commenting: "I love The Ting Tings. I saw Sia perform at V Festival. She was incredible. And the Kings of Leon at Glastonbury - they were great."
