Babyshambles will have a new album in the shops at some point in 2009, their drummer has claimed.

Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Adam Ficek commented that the group's next disc will "definitely" be completed by next year, with work beginning in November.

He added that the band are just working out the details to the follow-up to Shotter's Nation.

"It will definitely be out in 2009... We're choosing producers, and then in November I think we'll reconvene and really start kicking it into shape," he said.
