Eavis, the daughter of Glastonbury founder Michael, refused to name the acts that are in discussions for the festival, but revealed three big bands that will not feature.
"It's not Coldplay, it's not U2 and it's not the Rolling Stones," she said. "We are completely fired up about next year at the moment."
However, Eavis confirmed that Franz Ferdinand and The Ting Tings, who performed a secret gig at the Somerset farm last week, will be "somewhere on the bill [in 2009]".
Asked why acts are being sought only three months after the end of this year's festival, she replied: "Because our tickets go on sale on October 5, we've brought it forward. So we're ensconced in chat about next year and there's a lot of good feeling after such an amazing festival [this year]."
