Ulrich defends Metallica download lawsuit

An early demo of their track 'I Disappear' surfaced on the file-sharing service in 2000, prompting the rock band to launch a court case.
A settlement was reached, but music fans criticised Metallica for their "aggressive" pursuit of the website.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Ulrich claimed that the suit was about controlling the release of their work and not recouping lost royalties.
He said: "Nine out of ten people go, 'What was that about? It was about money'. F*** you - it wasn't about money. It was about control. I'll give away all my s*** for free. But I'll decide when and where and how."
