Police, Beyoncé named best-paid musicians

Sting's reformed rock band earned $115 million from June 1, 2007 to June 1, 2008, thanks mainly to their one-off comeback tour. The Police Reunion Tour generated more than $200 million in ticket revenue.
Beyoncé Knowles finished in second place, pulling in $80 million, while country music star Toby Keith came in third with $48 million.
Justin Timberlake was fourth in Forbes's annual music rich list, taking home $44 million. The singer's latest tour pulled in $100 million and he also inked a lucrative deal with Pepsi to appear in a Super Bowl commercial.
Madonna completed the top five, banking $40 million in the year thanks to her deal with concert promoter Live Nation.
