The band recently covered Perry's hit 'I Kissed A Girl' for a radio show, the first time they have tackled a pop song since their rendition of Britney Spears's 'Baby One More Time'.
Healy said he thinks Perry is "a sassy girl" and left the question of whether the band will record the track open.
"We hadn't felt the need to do a pop song since we covered Britney Spears... We played it for live and on a radio station so far," he said.
Healy recently commented that Travis's new album Ode To J Smith may surprise some people.
