Liam: "I thought Noel had been stabbed"

Liam Gallagher has revealed that he thought his brother had been stabbed after a fan invaded the stage at a Toronto gig.

Speaking to MTV Two, the Oasis stars spoke about the alleged assault for the first time.

The group was recently forced to postpone three gigs after a scan revealed that Noel had sustained three broken ribs.

Liam said: "It was f**king dark… but it could've been a lot worse that’s the way I look at it. I thought he [Noel] had been stabbed.

"It won’t be happening again, I can assure you of that."

Noel admitted that he also initially thought a knife had been involved, saying: "At first, 'cos it had been raining and there were puddles around, I thought I’d been stabbed… for a split second I s**t it."

Toronto police later confirmed that 47-year-old Daniel Sullivan has been charged in connection with the incident.
