Springsteen confirmed for Super Bowl

Bruce Springsteen has been revealed as the main entertainment act for next year's Superbowl halftime show.

Superbowl XLIII will be staged at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on February 1, airing live on NBC.

An estimated 148 million viewers watched Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers perform at last year's event.

Previous Super Bowl performers include Janet Jackson, Rolling Stones, U2, Prince and Paul McCartney.
