The Grammy award-winning musician will fly to London to personally pick up his "golden Q" gong next Monday.
The accolade will be presented by music magazine Q as part of the Q Awards 2008.
"There are some songs that transcend such things as time and genre, and 'Bat Out Of Hell' is assuredly one of them," the magazine's editor-in-chief Paul Rees told the Press Association.
Meatloaf collected a Classic Album accolade at the Classic Rock: Roll of Honour awards last year for the LP Bat Out Of Hell.
