Coldplay deny O2 residency rumours

The frontman told Absolute Radio that he had doubts about Coldplay's ability to follow in Prince's footsteps and sell out the arena for 21 consecutive nights.
"He sold out 21 nights," Martin commented. "I don't think we could. You can't do that unless you've got impeccable facial hair. With my facial hair we could probably sell out five nights."
Other acts rumoured to be playing a series of gigs at the O2 include Michael Jackson and U2.
