Grohl stage attacker foiled by security

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl was saved from a stage invader at the weekend.

An intruder found his way on to the stage at the Austin City Limits music festival in Texas on Sunday and ran at the rock star. However, security guards quickly tackled the man before he could reach Grohl.

Grohl told the crowd after the incident: "He's just a drunken college dork. I've been there."

Earlier this month, Oasis's Noel Gallagher sustained three broken ribs after being knocked to the ground by a stage attacker.
