The Oxford five-piece are currently considering the studio location for the follow-up to their debut Antidotes.
Frontman Yannis Philippakis told the BBC: "We thought Hawaii because we want to enjoy ourselves and we are great believers in the environment around you having an effect on the kind of music you make.
"If we are somewhere sunny and relaxed, it'll be a good environment to make a record."
Philippakis also claimed that the new CD will be influenced by surf pop, krautrock and French movies.
