The band's song 'The Turning' from new album Dig Out Your Soul reportedly bares a resemblance to Sir Cliff's 1976 classic 'Devil Woman'.
Speaking on Richard's website, fans have called the song a "rip off", while Janine Castle for the International Cliff Richard Movement said she was "astounded".
"I can hear the similarities ... It's about time Cliff's musical genius got some recognition," she said.
Earlier this month, Cliff Richard told GMTV that he doesn't "give a darn" what the press say about him.
"I've given up even thinking about justifying myself, qualifying what I am, who I am - I don't give a darn about it. You know what, the press don't frighten me anymore."
