Kaiser Chiefs star Nick Hodgson has claimed that Tom Jones's sweat is like a "love tonic".
Hodgson said that Jones's ability to impress ladies had rubbed off on him after he touched the 68-year-old at the end of a concert.
"I've chatted to Tom Jones before actually," Hodgson told DS. "I shook hands with him and he'd just come offstage. I was covered in Tom Jones's sweat - it was amazing!
"It's like a love tonic. He's got it. He's amazing. I can smell it now."
The drummer was speaking alongside Jones on the red carpet at the Q Awards, where his band were nominated for Best Live Act.
Talking about their nomination, frontman Ricky Wilson said: "It's great. There's only two things we really care about: Making the records and playing live.
"We do a lot of other things like interviews and red carpets, but they're not the important things."
Wilson added: "If there was an award for going to award shows, we'd probably do pretty well."
