Leona songs 'may go to Shayne Ward'

Taio Cruz has revealed that songs he wrote for Leona Lewis may end up with Shayne Ward.

Cruz told the Daily Star that Simon Cowell is considering handing the five songs he penned for Lewis to her fellow X Factor winner.

"I wrote the songs with Leona in mind but they want Shayne to do well so we'll have to see where they end up," he said.

The MOBO-nominated producer and artist added that his tracks for Lewis are all ballads.

"I personally think you should play to people's strengths," he explained. "Some writers are trying to give her dance tunes. But most people remember Mariah Carey for her big ballads and I think that's the same for Leona."
