The '80s popstar, whose No.1 hits include 'Goody Two Shoes', 'Stand And Deliver' and 'Prince Charming', is also hoping to collaborate with The Kaiser Chiefs, according to The Sun.
"Adam is back on track again," said a source. "He's had a difficult few years, but has finally found his focus.
"His new material is really strong and he's going to come back stronger than ever in the new year."
Speaking about the Kaisers at the Q Awards earlier this week, the singer said: "They're great. They've got it just right. They have a good pop sensibility.
"I'd record with them in a flash. If they'd have me, that is."
Ant, real name Stuart Goddard, was sectioned in 2003 and spent six months in psychiatric care after he took a shovel to a neighbour's patio.
