Organisers have confirmed that next weekend's music event will still take place, with Simian Mobile Disco, Vampire Weekend and Young Knives among the lineup.
A spokesperson said: "In spite of economical difficulties in Iceland at the moment, the Iceland Airwaves festival will take place next week just like it has done for the past ten years.
"The economical crisis does not affect the planning and promoting of the festival."
Junior Boys, CSS, and Florence And The Machine will also take to the stage.
Babyshambles were famously axed from the gig in 2005 due to the perceived disrepute brought by drug allegations against frontman Pete Doherty's then-girlfriend Kate Moss.
