Heidi Range and Keisha Buchanan confirmed that the group decided to ditch their old pop sound as they made plans for the disc.
"There aren't any pop songs on the album," Heidi told The Sun. "We've been really inspired by The Supremes and that's the direction we want to go in now."
Keisha added: "Pop is great but we're moving on and experimenting with a more mature sound."
Catfights and Spotlights is released on October 20. Lead single 'Girls' hit shelves this week.
