The 1980s icon was due to perform at the Portsmouth Guildhall tomorrow night as part of his 'The Boy Is Back In Town' tour.
However, venue organisers confirmed that the date has been cancelled and that full refunds will be given to anyone with a ticket.
Just 89 seats were sold the for the event, which could have drawn an audience of 2,200, reports WENN.
The blow comes just months after the former Culture Club frontman had to cancel his US tour because officials refused to grant him a working visa.
