Jack White has reportedly denied suggestions that he will replace Robert Plant on a Led Zeppelin tour.

According to the Daily Star, White is playing down rumours that he has been asked to fill in for the frontman.

"I do not believe you can have a band called Led Zeppelin, singing Zeppelin songs, without Plant," White allegedly told a source.

Plant is believed to be the only member of Zeppelin not interested in a 2009 world tour.

White and Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy have been mooted as replacements.
