Californian music-lover Rocky Dickerson apparently wrote to group members seeking their approval for his attempts to gain the recognition.
However, WENN reports that the guitarist was apparently less than impressed with the idea.
The rocker's publicist said: "He has asked me to thank you for this interest but he does not feel that this is something that he can endorse."
Page, who was officially named a Living Legend at the Classic Rock: Roll of Honour awards in 2007, was recently reported to be writing new material with Led Zeppelin bandmate John Paul Jones.
