The singer - real name Leslie Feist - is currently on a 14-date tour of the country, ending November 10 in Charlottetown.
Her version of '1 2 3 4' was picked as the soundtrack to an iPod Nano commercial and subsequently reached number eight in the UK singles chart. She was also nominated for a Brit Award earlier this year.
"[My career] has become kind of large and it really began for me very, very small. [It was] me alone in my bedroom with my four-track and a pair of headphones," she told Canadian Press.
"I just need to go back there for a while to get my bearings again and then know what to do next. I just need to let it rest for a minute."
