The White Stripes guitarist and Alicia Keys were rumoured to be performing the new Bond theme tune, 'Another Way To Die', at next month's Liverpool ceremony.
According to The Sun, White slipped a disc in his neck on tour with The Raconteurs and has been ordered not to travel until doctors give him the green light.
"Jack's still in a lot of pain. He hoped it would have cleared by now but the injury is refusing to heal," a source told the paper. "MTV are disappointed, as are Bond film chiefs. No-one knows when he’ll be fit enough to travel again."
The ceremony is to be hosted by Katy Perry, with Take That recently added to the lineup. Beyoncé, Pink, Duffy, The Killers and Kid Rock are also confirmed.
