Kretz quits Pilots tour due to family death

Stone Temple Pilots drummer Eric Kretz has quit the final gigs on the group's North American tour due to the death of his father, reports say.

Former Korn drummer Ray Luzier will replace Kretz for the remaining tour dates.

A posting on the band's websites said Kretz would be "taking a brief leave of absence" from the rest of the tour.

Singer Scott Weiland, who left Velvet Revolver in April because of his "increasingly erratic onstage behaviour and personal problems", reunited with the Pilots for the summer tour.
