The public voted Sarah Harding into the group ahead of the singer during Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.
According to 25-year-old Cheryl, they made the right choice.
"There's no way this band would have worked with her in it ... But even more than that, I just can’t imagine this band without Missus Hardcore (Sarah Harding) here!" she told Attitude.
"Oh my god. We really, really would not be here now. Having Javine ... alone could have made us finish," added bandmate Kimberley Walsh.
